Executive Director
Christyn S. Freemon is an award-winning economic development practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience providing strategic consulting and technical assistance for community wealth-building and economic development initiatives across the US. As a part of her leadership, Christyn’s commercial corridor efforts focus on Chicago’s Madison and Pulaski corridors, and include:
"The K," a community hub for business incubation, acceleration and workforce + construction trades.
Driving development and planning efforts, including cultural placemaking and placekeeping.
Supporting access to fresh, healthy foods and small business recruitment with the Westgate Development project.
Anchoring her work is community wealth, by building a community investment vehicle that creates pathways for inclusive participation in real estate investment, drives community engagement, financial empowerment and economic growth throughout the Chicago commercial district and the surrounding residential areas.
She is a Northwestern University graduate.
Jim Webb provides strategic leadership in advancing initiatives focused on workforce development, entrepreneurship, and community-based economic growth. With a background in finance and construction, his work centers on building systems that equip individuals with the skills, discipline, and opportunities needed to participate in and lead long-term neighborhood development. He has played a key role in shaping efforts that connect training, real-world project experience, and pathways to ownership for residents on Chicago’s West Side.

Marc is a social impact leader with a background spanning international business, strategy, and civic engagement. His work has focused on advancing entrepreneurship and addressing complex social challenges through innovation and community-driven solutions. He has led initiatives across the U.S. and internationally, and founded an organization dedicated to developing and scaling ideas that create meaningful social and economic impact.
